It is clear from reading the references to Islam provided by jisbond that Islam regards the god of Abraham and Allah as the same being. Here is one quote from The Foundations of Islam found at

www.mosque.com/faith.html

"And that the Koran, the original Torah, the original Gospel of Jesus,
and the original Psalms are His Books sent down upon His
Messengers, peace be upon them."

Why has jisbond not been able to answer the question directly. Even the Koran says several times that the highest of all humans in the eyes of Allah is the completely spiritrual Jew. It seems that modern Islam, especially in the middle east, has forgotten the words of their Prophet.
