Apparently the Prophet said it

On page 12:

"For this reason the Prophet- praised and peace be upon him- said, 'Destroyed are those who split hairs! Destroyed are those who split hairs! Destroyed are those who split hairs! And these are those who are extravagant in investigation and research'"

1. Rulings concerning debate

Here is a quote from one paragraph on page 17

"Likewise, it is unlawful to argue with one who has fallen victim to doubt"

And there is throughout many warnings about the dangers of scholastic theology and innovation. It is a wonder that science ever flourished with this kind of closed mind.
