is to decide for us what the common agreement is on what each label means. They are our teachers and our researchers. We have the freedom to use words in any way we wish, making up their definitions as we go along. But they do not. Their scholarship and communications in scholarly journals are based on common agreement as to the definitions of these labels. Their definitions stand up in court and are certainly accepted in all professional society, the specialization of each society by common agreement having the final say on what each label means. So if we want to be professional, we have to use and abide by what the professionals in common have decided.

On the other hand, we do not have to be professional on a forum such as this which is designed for rather free thinking. But at the same time we should realize that in doinbg so we are amateurs.
