Harvey, Do Not Be Offended By The Fact That Math Explains Things

Of course, math (science) is accurate. People are NOT. Especially philosophically inclined. Typical example. Integrate both parts of the equation of a motion with constant gravitational acceleration: a=10 m/sec2 over time. You immediately get v=at+v0. So, if you drop something with zero initial velocity, you have its velocity at any moment of time t to be equal v=at=10t. Next what philosophically inclined mind demonstrates is how "wrong" is this equation by dropping a piece of paper and measuring its speed, say, 10 seconds later. "Look-he says - math clearly predicts the velocity to be 100 m/sec after 10 seconds of fall, but in REALITY the velocity is only 1.5 m/sec as everyone can see and measure. So math is obviousely WRONG".

I leave it up to you to guess who is actually wrong in the above example - math or the poor philosopher/experimenter who forgot to include something in the equation.
