Alex,

Your question is part of the problem that the chief scientist has to solve. All I can say is that the machine is built in such a way that if you ask it a meaningful question it gives you either a meaningful answer, another meaningful question, or no answer at all.

A good question would be, does the machine really understand anything or does it simply repeat what it was told before? The answer is obvious to me but I'll leave it up to you to figure it out. (hint: try logic)
