My opinion is that you are afraid to think that your conscious awareness line of demarcation might be faulty. Using your definition of conscious and subconscious, is the subconscious you aware that it exists? Do you have more conscious control of what you think than you do of where your shadow falls? Can you think you are Spiderman?

I am asking about your concept of your own mental powers.
