You are wrong if a timeline is infinite. What about the time passed before 4000bc? The time from that to the reference point before? Before that? Before that? If a timeline is infinite, then you will be comparing two reference points backwards in time forever, or for INFINITE. There is logic in what I say. The time before two reference points is finite, but the total time is infinite, causing the amount of time to reach the present to be infinite. THINK ABOUT IT. No matter where you are on the timeline, there will ALWAYS be time before it. ALWAYS. If an infinite time has not passed before the present, then the timeline is NOT infinite. I can understand how the timeline can continue on in the future for infinite, but not the past.
