Only in high school. Definition of species we were given is the ability of inerbreed and provide fertile offspring.

So, the question is as follows. If some dogs can breed with wolf but others can not, yet they still can breed with each other, do you call those dogs which can not breed with wolf:
a) new specie b)same old dog specie c)something in between, because changes in DNA from wolf to close-related dog plus changes from close-related dog to not-so-close-related now just exceeded tolerable difference in DNA to interbreed?

By the way, in nature it would take hundreeds of thousands of years to accumulate such dramatic changes, yet humans selected and purposely cross-bred dogs for only less than 1000 years yet made such a spectacular variety of new DNAs.

And of course, you know that dogs are not the only specie human is experimenting and actively modyfying DNA code (program) of.
