The quasars are 1.4 times farther away than they had thought, leading to the conclusion that the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate and that the cosmological constant is non-zero, and that the universe is flat. Our instruments cannot measure quasars residing faster than the speed of light. The light never gets here. On the other hand, we are fairly sure that most of the universe is residing from us faster than the speed of light. But we cannot see it. We can only see the local universe than is expanding less than the speed of light.

In short, do not believe everything you read, even on this forum, and even in my posts. Reading is not believing.
