Forgive Me But My Maths Skills Are Not Great

I just got out of high school, took trig with basic calculus(this fall I'm taking calculus 1 2 3 and physics 1 2 3 in college), but my maths skills are not up to par.

If you want to explain the formulas then do so, if not that's ok. But what do gamma and Galilea mean?
