By minimising potential energy in interaction between molecules. And least action is a strict mathematical principle which comes from the definition of what we call "energy" and "force" alone.

Where here (in origin and evolution of life)is any need of any of the following: designer, creator, governor, engineer, pusher, puller, selector, improver, perfector, entropy reverser, vital energy creator, etc etc? What part of life or evolution process needs anything beyond known physical (=mathematical) laws?
