Modifying DNAs of crops and animals, fixing genetic problems,flying in space, curing millions from various deadly deseases, making mass-murder weapons, or predicting and shielding ourselves from acts of god (rains, droughts, storms, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, etc). Even internet global chat or power of ordinary computer can be considered intervension with gods abilities a hundred years ago.

So, we ARE behaving like gods already due to understanding of mathemetical fundamental laws of nature.
