"Belief is needed for things we cannot test"

Why? Surely it is far better to come to terms with the fact that we simply do not know than have blind belief /faith in the untestable.

It is amazing how many god believers claim to know, but when asked to substantiate their claim say"I have faith or I believe". The truth is they do not know, and they know it.
