Heb. 10:26, "If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them."

Seems to be a Catch-22. If we do not know it's a sin, then for us it is probably not a sin. But how many of us have stopped sinning after we knew it was a sin, like looking at another person lustfully, is akin to commiting adultery.

Somehow I do not think this was the intention of Jesus. I think he was just telling us to be mindful of the spirit of the law and stop being so concerned with the rote observerance of the letter of the law.
