It seems tome that Christianity did away with much of the sin of the world by ignoring most of the laws laid down by God in the Old Testament, in spite of the warning from Jesus Chriat that you have to keep all the laws of Moses (see Metthew- Sermon on the Mount). So from this perspective it the Christians that have contributed to lawlessness by neglecting all but ten of the 613 laws of Moses.
