Well! An attempt at conversing. Glory be! God I love a man who speaks for himself. Now if we could just get you to THINK for yourself and get a little education, there might be hope for you yet.

You need to get up on your own stuff dude. You don't even know your own creationism philosophy for Jack!

As for Darwin's so called refutiation of evolution, let me give you a lesson here.

A few details on the spread of the story and its subsequent rebuttal, taken from the book "The Survival of Charles Darwin: a Biography of a Man and an Idea" by Ronald W. Clark, published by Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1985 (p. 199)

`Shortly after his death, Lady Hope addressed a gathering of young men and women at the educational establishment founded by the evangelist Dwight Lyman Moody at Northfield, Massachusetts. She had, she maintained, visited Darwin on his deathbed. He had been reading the Epistle to the Hebrews, had asked for the local Sunday school to sing in a summerhouse on the grounds, and had confessed: "How I wish I had not expressed my theory of evolution as I have done." He went on, she said, to say that he would like her to gather a congregation since he "would like to speak to them of Christ Jesus and His salvation, being in a state where he was eagerly savouring the heavenly anticipation of bliss."

`With Moody's encouragement, Lady Hope's story was printed in the Boston Watchman Examiner. The story spread, and the claims were republished as late as October 1955 in the Reformation Review and in the Monthly Record of the Free Church of Scotland in February 1957. These attempts to fudge Darwin's story had already been exposed for what they were, first by his daughter Henrietta after they had been revived in 1922. "I was present at his deathbed," she wrote in the Christian for February 23, 1922. "Lady Hope was not present during his last illness, or any illness. I believe he never even saw her, but in any case she had no influence over him in any department of thought or belief. He never recanted any of his scientific views, either then or earlier. We think the story of his conversion was fabricated in the U.S.A. . . . The whole story has no foundation whatever."' (Ellipsis is in the book)

Clark's source for Lady Hope's supposed quotations of Darwin is given as "Down, the Home of the Darwins: The Story of a House and the People Who Lived There" by Sir Hedley Atkins KBE, published by Phillimore for the Royal College of Surgeons of England, 1974.

Henrietta's rebuttal is referenced more fully as: Mrs R B Litchfield, "Charles Darwin's Death-Bed: Story of Conversion Denied," The Christian, February 23, 1922, p. 12.

Besides, even if he HAD refuted his own theory, it would not make his theory less true as any idiot knows. Truth exists whether ANYone believes it or not.

As far as the rest of those so called "references" you gave, git yur butt back in the library and stop thinking you can snow me with name dropping on a topic you obviously know nothing about. Whether ANY of those people is/was a believer in God or not has nothing to do with what is or is not.

What you are claiming here is a typical fundy diversion known as "If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance..." (you can't), "...baffle em with bull sh*t" (which is exactly what you're trying to do here.)

And stop the stupid preaching. You aren't qualified. I was born and raised Christian. I don't NEED YOU to tell me about God's love. I'm not arguing the existence of God here but you in your presumption seem to think I am.

I'm arguing that if you're going be a "fisher of men", YOU need to start acting more like a fisher and less like a carnival tent hukster that is already showin his ignorance to a superb degree. As for me, I'm not fishin' for anybody but I sure snagged an old tire with you.

At least get an up to date Christian education before you come touting yourself as an expert here 'cause dude,

You're eyes may shine, You're teeth may grit, But YOU my man, are FULL of IT.

: Hey V-Girl, Like I said, the truth doesn't require YADA YADA YADA. But it's not sexist to point out the women average 50,000 words a day. Some PHD lady researched that info. Also you started this parade with arrow to my heart. It's very difficult to talk intelligently about anything with a cyber-writer. I appreicate your views and your sense of humor. Now for a post..... I'd like you to note that in Mr.Darwins book ,published in 1859, He wrote in the last paragraph of of second edition, There is granduer in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by.........,here it comes, get ready, the Creator into a few forms or into one. Amazing HUH? Also if you read non-revisionist history Mr Darwin denonced his theory as speculation and became a member of the herd of animals that carrying bibles before he went to meet his Creator. Furthermore prior to his bombshell book, most scientist were creationist. I think that you've heard of these people. Thomas Aquinas, Johann Kepler, Blaise Pascal, Robert Boyle , Nihlos Steno , Isaac Newton........ .............watch out for that apple girl, Michael Faraday, Charles Babbage, Loius Agassiz, James Simpson, Gregor Mendel, Loius Pastuer, William Kelvin, Joseph Lister, James Clerk Maxwell, William Ramsay...............can I stop now. Anyway I don't have to convinced you , God is all ready at work trying to show that He loves Ya. If you didn't have some Q's you would get so excited about what I've been posting.., Love Ya V-Girl!!!!!! aka, Valkyrie, it's fun to chit chat with Ya. Keep on seeking, and you will find, the love of God is so devine.
