R.T.: : I have my own hunch about the expanding universe. : On a large scale, it could be that the distances between the galaxies is increasing because of the stuff being swallowed up by the black holes in the cores of galaxies. All that material might be ending up in what we see as a spatial gap between the galaxies, but in another dimension. : The stuff of our universe could be comming from there through the quasars. : Can some info be found anywhere which could show a relation between the amount of stuff lost to black holes and the rate of expansion? Greg: It would be very hard to determine how much is lost to black-holes, since we don't know how many there are. There is no evidence of any white-holes that I know of, and in order to expand the universe in this dimension, the incoming material would have to exist in this dimension, I should think.
