However, as Alexander says, what math uncovers is not our invention. A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet. The cover of the book is irrelevant. No one will ever say, "You know, the cover of Sharon Stone's book was really great. That made it the best book ever." The same stands with math. The symbols are the cover. The science is the book. We do not invent equations for science. They always were, we just learned of its value.
