Why? Why is permanency and self-dependence neccesary for reality? If you died tomorrow, would your life never have happened? You EXISTED. That is not an illusion. The past may be an illusion, but not what happened in it.

Theists like you are really hard to debate with. :) Probably because we DO agree on a lot of things. One thing you haven't made clear, though, is the specific reason for your faith. We can discuss the reality of self and permanancy and illusions all we want (fun as it may be), but in the end it all boils down to you believe in something that all available evidence says doesn't exist.
