And I can tell you EXACTLY how many photons (states) are there: N=E/hf, where E - total energy in the microwave, f- microwave frequency.

And who said that particles are points? This is incorrect too. A VISIBLE LIGHT photon can be as big as a galaxy (experimental fact) if not infinite.
