My reasoning goes like this:

If the Bible is an unreliable source of knowledge, that it was written by superstitious men based on their own imperfect thoughts, not inspired from some all-knowing God, despite the fact that so many claim it as God-given and reliable using nonscientific arguments

then

the God of Christianity does not exist

and

all faith-based religious scriptures are suspect of being equally unreliable and their Gods do not exist.

Whether a God different from the one most people claim exists, might exist, is not part of the argument, yet.

If the God that Christians and others believe in does not exist then WHY should we believe in any kind of God? Without scriptures, without ancient prophets and miracles, without modern prophets and miracles, what rational basis is there FOR a belief? Little if any.

Perhaps the conclusion of atheism does not follow from the premises (is non sequitir), but I think I'm correct in my conclusion nevertheless.
