Alex, sorry about the questions on your qualifications, when you said that you were as qualified as Turok and Steinhardt it almost threw me into wondering if you were directly involved with these other guys.

In any case, getting back to our discussion, I wonder why you insist on inflation being a fact when truth of the matter is that Steinhardt, Turok, et al. do have a background in cosmology (Ph.D's no less) and they don't think inflation is a fact. The 'fact' part is what I question, not your credentials.

By the way, it is when new hypotheses contradict 'facts' that make philosophers and scientists question this whole notion of scientific realism.
