Richard,

When people discuss things like OBE they usually prefer to see things in an irrational way. The subjective life seems to be perfectly tied to the objective world, and experiences like OBEs fully expose the fact that that is not the case, that there's a wide gap between the world and our understanding of it. Few people like to deal with that fact so they usually rush to conclude that it's not the world-mind connection that is problematic, that it must necessarily be either the world or the mind that is wrong.

I find either explanation irrational but I grew weary of trying to call people's attention to that simple and obvious fact.
