You've done it again! You've given a reasonable explanation (I'm not claiming it is the right answer) to a curious phenomenon. My impression that it was someone saying "Listen to me" fits perfectly with your theory of how TOM operates.

Having only Me and TOM (Two of Me) makes sense (since there's only two hemispheres), but maybe there are more TOMs as various portions of the brain form their own persona.

I especially like your explanation because it encourages people to support more scientific studies on human physiology and accept that we might not know the cause yet rather than jump on the supernatural bandwagon.

Now, I'm curious. What is the survival benefit of TOM? "Two heads are better than one" maybe, or to have someone you can always communicate with even when you're by yourself.

Your hypothesis predicts that biological testing would show the tingling to be an observable bodily function. When I'm ready to pay $1000 or so to get the Medical Experts' explanations for what physically is causing it, I'll have some testing done.
