Hi Alexander,

I think you are exactly right in identifying the ways in which we can make a definition. But when you do define something, a couple interesting questions pop up.

First is, Is it fair to call a definition (whether it is a axiom or a re-labeling) an "Absolute Truth"?

Dick has convinced me over the past year that it is fair.

The second question is, Can you arrive at any knowledge of the world from truth by definition?

I was always aware that mathematics, which is derived that way, is very useful. But until Dick educated me, I was unaware that facts about the nature of physical reality could also be derived simply from definitions and logic. I think that is a remarkable discovery which is destined to become important.

Warm regards,

Paul
