Most religious leaders claim to have answers to important questions from God or someone else who got answers from God. Perhaps this is psychologically comforting.

One of the attractive features of Mormonism for modern people is that it seems to have an answer to all of their important questions. Perhaps this is just psychologically comforting.

Psychological comfort may be the primary basis for religion, but it does portray itself as a source of truth.
