Religion Is Not About Knowledge

Religion is about psychological comfort. So is, to a large extent, science. The thought that we don't know where the universe came from can be terrifying. Knowing that "God did it" can take the terror away. And for that matter, so does the Big Bang theory.

I find that a lot of people who claim we don't need religion anymore is because they use science to fulfill their religious needs. Only they dare not see their feelings for what they are.

Truth is, people know different things but we are all subject to the same psychological forces. We only like to give them different names.
