If you were Mormon you might believe you could pray to God and He would answer all these questions. Importantly, it wasn't religion that asked these scientific questions about superluminal speeds, dark matter, and such, it was science. Religious leaders wouldn't even know about these things if it weren't for science.

If God existed I would expect religious leaders within His favor to be posing the science questions much more than they do.
