"No Oil" In Israel True, But Misleading

Thank you for the political insight. I had not thought enough about the Jewish-Oil connection. I let Brian's correct, but misleading, statement "there's no oil there" stand uncontested. Israel will probably remain important to the West because of the importance of oil.

One of the reasons Israel is a nuclear power is because the West thought they could trust them to be our ally. We don't sell or encourage the development of that kind of technology to just anyone. Another reason is because the Jewish population is probably smarter than the average population. They had a high enough level of scientific background to assimilate the technology. Despite the way things should be if Yahweh were their God, Israel is not a nuclear power because of their spiritual communications with Him. Don't blame their advanced status on their religious devotion.

Like you, I also find annoying the miracle stories in mythical semi-historical books like the Bible.
