There is no single prophecy in the Bible. "There will be the End (sometime)" is NOT a prophecy - because, of course, soon or later there MAY happen SOMETHING like essential cataclism (asteroid, major war or virus epidemy, nuclear disaster, global pollution/ warming/ cooling/ volcanic activity, etc ,

In contrast, more concrete statement like "There will be the End of Izrael on Jan 1, 2000" IS a prophecy.

Very general statements have so high probability to be related to something actually happening sooner or later that all astrologists and other prophets jus love to make them.

So, how many more or less CONCRETE prophecies are in the Bible? And how many of those came true well BEYOND statistical coincidences?

About Izrael - if you come to palestinian land and hammer a stake and announce 100-mile chunk of land around to be yours, and thus you force others to move out under gunpoint, what should be the reaction of people who lived on this "holy land" for more than a thousand years? Should they say: yes, maa'm? Or do you expect some kind of "misunderstanding" from their side and a little resistance? I think, at least.

So, no wonder there is tension in this region, and it will continue for a couple of hundred years till people will get used to new borders.
