: Hi Lee, Young earth.about 10-12k years old. One Proof. Moon dust.............yeah we're talking about Astronomy again,....The Lunar lander was build to land in several feet of dust. There's only inches.......If you rewind in time based on the current rate of accumulation, assuming that it has been constant, You come out at about 10-12K years. If it accumulated more earlier in time then you get a even younger earth. Also God could have designed the earth with a percieved age so We would seek the answers and ultimately find Him. God is God and He,unlike us, is not bound by the laws of the universe. Now the water Q. There is currently plenty of water underground and in the atmosphere to cover the mountain tops. The bible says that the waters of the deep, which are unmeasurable, sprang forth. Only God knows what geologoical things took place then. We all agree that some catasthrope wiped out a major portion of life some time ago. And how do you explain fossils on the mountain tops? The tilting of the earths crust.......excuse this ...doesn't hold water. Anytime that subvert or overt plates and go tilting things around things get destroyed. Water formed strata tends to perserve things. Geological forces usually destroy. As for the big bang...........it's a theory. A good one based on what we can see.............aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa but we can't see everthing. Back to astronomy now........I'm looking forward to the VLT getting on line about 2002. We be able to see so much farther. But still limited. Ok here's a good one. Because light from stars many light years away is just now getting to us, the universe must be million or billions of years old right? Right from our perspective. But, remember God is God, not bound by the laws. He wanted to show us his handiwork, which you must agree is quite awesome, now, again so we might seek him. Lee I appreicate the discourse with You. Some things are beyond explaining , but it's fun to try and figure it out. Russ out
