What Is Actually Being Said?

Life after death, as you have presented it, is a model of events outside our common accepted experience. Exactly what purpose does such a model have? It obviously explains nothing that anyone I know of has a problem with.

It seems rather an excuse for not worrying about something you are afraid of.

Just as good: why don't you just presume you will wake up in the head of the guy next door (only not remembering your past life). Another model which explains nothing!
