Is "Remote Sensing" A Kind Of ESP?

Isn't "remote sensing" a kind of "extra-sensory perception" meaning a kind of perception that isn't generally recognized such as direct vision, hearing, touch, taste, smell? Isn't it a kind of perception that instruments fail to detect, but human subjects claim to have?
