Freedom Of Speech Is Important, Too

"I would like to hear: 'Bishop, why should I obey the commandments?' 'Because God will bless you in the afterlife, oops I can't legally say that.' "

As much as I may be angered by fundamentalists and their ilk, I still hate to see anyone's freedom of speech taken away like that. I mean, religious students can pray in school as long as it's not mandatory/school sponsored. If people are foolish enough to give 10% of their earnings for a warm and fuzzy feeling, they don't deserve to get it back. Even idiots can speak freely. :)

On a side note, the parish in my town spent FORTY THOUSAND dollars for their altar. Guess where that money came from? Now imagine how much the rest of the building cost. Sounds like your funds are going to good use, people.

Wake up.
