I just enjoy the traditions. The theory behind the traditions are relatively uninteresting, especially if they have no direct bearing on the traditions. In the same way I enjoy Sunday, the Christiam Sabboth, Friday night to Sat afternoon, the Jewish Sabboth, and what's left over, Saturaday, the atheist night of celebration.

I think what atheists really want is a tradition, like a day in which we can all celebrate the achievements of men and women without attributing them to god. I suggest June 21st. The opposite of Christmass, when we can all enjoy a day at the beach on the longest day of the year.
