Some people just do not know where laws of nature come from (poor education), but their brain is still able to learn (call it open mind) and to such person you may say that fundamental laws of nature (conservation, inverse square, etc.) come from symmetries of space-time. Relativity comes from symmetry of motion. General relativity - from symmetry energy=mass=gravity. Thus, all objects around us obey and behave in complete agreement with these fundamental laws. (This behaviour is cosizely summarized in Newton, Maxwell, Shredinger, Einstein eqations which are derived from those symmetries). Details are in any good textbook (physics textbooks, of course).
But some (especially old) people have brain which is already semi-dead (clogged with holesterol, or deteriorated by other chemicals) and they had lost highest brain functions (cognitive abilities and ability to memorize). We all eventually deteriorate. Those people can not learn new things. And it is not their fault - they just physically (better to say chemically) can not record new information on their "hard drive" although they can retrieve some of what was recorded long ago. You may call it conservative or close minded.
In order not to look ignorant they either call you wrong or stop listening.
If they have power to harm you, then they may abuse it - thus you should be careful with such people.
Learn from good textbooks. If they are hard to get, go to the library and learn from encyclopedias - they are in general most reliable sources, and they come in various levels. Some are on the internet like Britannica - good one.
P.S. What country are you from? Does you goverment allow access to good textbooks or encyclopedias?
