Clamp Down On Pseudoscience

Maybe they clamped down on the pseudoscientific stuff, not because it was true, but because it was false. In either case, you're right that it could take money away from their research.

You shouldn't need research grant money for this kind of research like you would for research requiring expensive equipment. You should be able to test the ideas in your own home. As I said before, if someone can really do this stuff, there are skeptics offering big bucks in payoff.
