Ever seen a server pour a bottle of wine?

In Spain, the waiter starts pouring the wine close to the glass, but quickly puts some distance between the two so that there's a long stream of wine between the bottle and the glass. Very elegant when he's good and doesn't spill a drop!

The point: God made the stars here (close to Earth--the destination of the light), and then quickly put them way way out there (so that the night sky could be both elegant and helpful--in teaching and navigation!).
