did you read somewhere he said he was 'the son of man, not god'? or that he mentioned being born of man. it is significant for him to be born of man as well because it was part of the flesh bargain of truce made between God and Abraham. (This was what was done between warring factions in those days, a piece of flesh offered from each leader in truce; of course, God being ethereal, what 'flesh' would he offer in return for the circumcisions required of Abraham and his heirs? had to be of equal pain and price, at least; giving one's only son pretty much equals a little bit of flesh from each person, eh? and what more painful that that closest to the heart). |
