In the scheme of things concerning "proper" balance, if you can manipulate genetics for something good and useful then it stands to reason you can make something bad. The future of genetic engineering seems like an exciting prospect. However in human nature we tend to make things for both purposes...good or bad. I believe that genetic progress will be interesting, but at the same time dangerous...I guess we'll see.
