This Forum Must Be Scientific?

Alexander seems to think that because the "God and Science" forum is part of an astronomy (scientific) discussion forum means that the ideas presented here, whether religious or scientific, must be supported like scientific ones, using math, the scientific method, etc., or they should be considered inappropriate here.

My impression is that this is NOT true.

I'm of the opinion that all ideas should eventually be subjected to scientific levels of analysis if we intend to uphold them, but I don't think that every idea related to the question of God and Science has to go through that kind of analysis before it can be presented or discussed in this forum.

What do you think?
