There is nothing wrong with atheism. I suspect that if there is something like a god, that that god would not be bothered by atheists. In fact, they have a leg up because their good actions are not motivated by greed, the greed to obtain heaven.

But I fear that an entirely atheistic society will not have sufficient checks and ballances the keep the politicians honest. They are inherently not honest anyway. It's called spin. A form of lying that has become acceptable.

Besides that, the only societies that have done away with religion have been corrupt at the top. You know who I mean. There does not seem tobe regard for individual rights and liberty in such societies.I'm not sure why this follows from atheism. But the data is out there. Atheism does not seem to work on the national level
