for a believer to practice compassion and attend court with someone who otherwise is alone, continue to check on someone whose child is known to be ill, to loan/give science books knowing that is another's deepest heart's desire so they may continue to be fulfilled, etc etc?

i'm pretty certain opportunity to see the 'usefulness' of believing simply hasn't presented itself in your life very persuasively. that is not to say that receptiveness and opportunities will not arrive even today. i wonder if you will consider allowing that there is possibility in the world of believers as there is in that of non-believers. ;)
