The Earth is still flat, farmers use "Flat Earth Theory of Measurement" instead a round one quite often. I think, even you use it from time to time to measure the area of a room in a house, or area of a lot.

So, although on a bigger scale things may require to expand our mathematical knowledge, any new theory should turn into old one on a small scale.

That is why Euclid, Newton or Einstein, Maxwell, etc. theories will never be "trown out" by new ones.
