Gamma rays, a form of light, can have wavelengths smaller than electron wavelenghts.

Light detectors like our eyes work by (so it's said) releasing electrons when photons are absorbed. So it's really electrons that give us visibility, as well as chemistry and everything else that impacts out human physical life.
