Are you saying that the gold itself would collapse unto itself , is it freely floating in space , are there any other mass objects around , this needs to be specified , but no a piece of gold would not collapse due to the blocking of light , it would fall to a mass far bigger than the gold due to the larger mass creating a blocking of light .
