Actually, if you did believe you were a pink elephant it would be from a series of patterns which lead you to that belief; in the abstract, while it would make no sense to some others who could point out questions, you would possess many reasons which were very valid to your requirements.

So if I had a system of beliefs that contradicted entirely with yours but had its roots in a system of abstract patterns, that would be just fine in your eyes? There can only be one truth, and rather than take a shot in the dark I prefer not to miss.
