Middle ear does not have incoming (from brain) nerves, only outgoing (to brain) ones, so there is no way of sending information from brain down there.

All you "hear" or "see" or "touch" while dreaming or hallucinating are e/magnetic signals crossing only INSIDE the brain. (That is, by the way, why they often seem different (surreal) versus signals from actual receptors).

It seems that medical shools in this country are really poor. I thought, only science teaching was poor (by last survey, 23th place among other countries, well behind most of West and East Europe), but it looks like all higher education here is in deep crisis.
