maybe it boils down to, we don't know when we're going to draw our last breath. are we willing to bet our soul's eternity God DOESN'T exist? IF we believe it's POSSIBLE he does, that is the 'mustard seed of faith' he promises he'll grow with us. mustard seeds are very, very hard (like morning glory seeds, they must be soaked and softened and persuaded to open up). but once opened and planted cannot be removed for their fortitude.

if you don't believe it's possible, then probably there's nothing to lose. but what do we owe the values we have in life, however? i don't think god is small enough to be entirely fathomed by all the human minds ever in existence. and i'm kind of glad for that! aha.
