Jimbo described my opinion that my interpretation of the Book of Revelation as having a 70% probability if being true as being just a hunch. Well of course that is absolutely true. I think it's more likely to be true than not true. That is an intuitive assessment. Or in other words a hunch. But I have confidence in the interpretation just because it feels intuitively correct. Intuition is important.

But we should applaud Jimbo's critique of our pronouncements, and welcome a rational and reasonable mind who is willing to doubt. It reminds me of a Jewish prayer that almost seems to worship the power of doubt. In judaism everything can be questioned. I do not know of another religion that has such a mindset. It makes Judaism very consistent with scientific thought, which might be one reason why so many of our foremost scientists were and are Jewish.

My opinion of intuition is that it comes from our soul, which is both a quantum computer and the accumutation of all the wisdom of our past lives. In a subsequent post I would like to present once again my (more or less) scientific opinion of where the soul resides, and how it can persist lifetime after lifetime.
